Coronavirus: Covid 19 and Our Services

"Aquam Water Services is committed to providing a standpipe management service to you and will continue to remain available through the current Covid 19 pandemic. We are committed to our staff and customers and seek to minimise any contact which would place either party at risk of contracting Covid 19, as such we have changed our procedures as follows:

  • A skeleton staff will operate at the depot as staff home work where possible
  • Staff will remain available to deliver and collect standpipes as required
  • If you wish to off hire at the depot please ring in advance so that we can ensure we are available
  • Working hours at the depot will change to 7.30- 4.00pm"

Covid 19: Risk Assessment Supporting Documents

From ​1st April 2016 Aquam Water Services will handle all new applications for the hire of temporary water standpipes for use within the ​Severn Trent Water network.

Our customer services team will be on hand to assist both new and existing customers with the standpipe application process and ensure that you receive your new metered standpipe quickly and efficiently.

Please note that only standpipes obtained through ourselves in future may be used within the ​Severn Trent Water network and the use of any other equipment will neither be compliant nor legal and could result in prosecution.

Customers with existing standpipes hired directly from ​Severn Trent Water prior to the introduction of this scheme remain unaffected until the expiry of their current agreement.

With effect from 1st April 2020 Standpipe Hire Charges and Water Usage charges will change:

22mm Metered Standpipe Rental - £34.85 per week

40mm Metered Standpipe Rental - £​60.00 per week

Water Usage - £1.5172 per cubic metre
(all prices exclude V.A.T)

Delivery & Collection

We are able to deliver standpipes within 1 working day anywhere within the network (delivery cost will be quoted) alternatively customers may prefer to collect from their nearest available distribution point.
